appointed Cabinet ministers took their oaths of office before King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, at his palace here Friday. The new ministers pledged to be faithful to Islam, the King and the country, to never reveal any of the government's secrets, preserve the country's interests and rules and fulfill their duties with honesty and sincerity. The new ministers who took the oath included Bandar Bin Mohammed Al-Hajjar, Minister of Haj; Mohammed Al-Jasser, Minister of Planning and Economy; Tawfeeq Bin Fouzan Al-Rabea, Minister of Commerce and Industry; Abdullah Al-Barrak, Minister of Civil Service; Khalid Bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, Deputy Minister of Education; and Hamad Bin Mohammed Aal Al-Sheikh, Deputy Minister of Education for Boys Affairs. Other officials who took the oath were Dr. Muhammad Bin Amin Bin Ahmad Al-Jifri, Deputy Shoura Council Speaker and Dr. Fahad Bin Mu'tad Bin Shafak Al-Hamad, Assistant Shoura Speaker. Also present at the ceremony were two of the ministers who were replaced. The King thanked them for their service. The former ministers thanked the King for allowing them to serve the country and wished the new office-bearers success in future. King Abdullah prayed to Allah for the success of the former ministers. “I pray to Allah to bless and bestow good health on you. You have performed your duties diligently and I pray to Allah to reward you for this. You have maintained a good reputation throughout your tenure.” The reception and ceremony were attended by Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Defense and Prince Muqrin Bin Abdul Aziz, Chief of General Intelligence.
