Jett Santos superbly erected a great foundation, while Fedelyn Bustinera put on a great show on the 3-game finals to add another title to their names in the recently-concluded Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group November Bowlfest at the Bowling City here. Prior to the finals, Santos was defeated by Jun Estefano 777-764 in the Class B championship. Joining them were Marlon Heredia and Ruben Gri?o who advanced with 758 and 699. Gri?o outlasted Ruel Santoc who ended pursuit at 674. Class O champion was Randy Mata (740) followed by Roger Daquioag (728) and Joel Nidoy with 726. Alex Flora dominated Class A at 775 followed by Ding dela Rosa (766), Bobby Baraquel (738) and Melvin Lising (720). At a scratch average of 204.5 with a fantastic 254 opening game, Edward Botardo undisputedly topped Class C with 818, followed by Robert Stone (765), Alex Mallari (755) and Jowet Carreon (706). Class C Czar was Benj Espinosa with 681, followed by Ver Jasa (674), Serge Rivera (662) and Med Ramos with 648. With 19 bowlers racing to top five, Santos nerved competitors with 229 on the initial salvo. Although Rivera enabled to surpass 449, Jett stayed right behind with 433 after 2 games. Trying to entrench the winning column were Estefano, dela Rosa and Mallari with 422, 418 and 406 respectively. Jasa, Ramos and Heredia kept distance with 400, 399 and 392 in that order. Seeing Rivera with an approach problem, Santos tried coping up with his average so that though Jasa capitalized his handicap at 196 hound, seasoned kegler Jett salvaged the title at 626. Jasa clinched the second spot with 596, Estefano followed with 593, Rivera got contented at 4th spot with 590 and Ramos salvaged last berth at 589 avoiding Daquioag who rallied with 234 to be two marks short at 576. Ladies battle also entertained audience when Fatima Jintarat valiantly bowled to beat top qualifier Aisah Silabay on group AB championship 708-692. Silabay was relegated to third spot by May Lourdes when the latter emerged scored 692. Malou Nidoy took the last berth with 672. In group CD, leader Fedelyn Bustinera saved supremacy at 747 on a 159 survival blitz which Carmen Lim profusely challenged with a 204 only to be bridesmaid with 744. Eloisa Fernandez and Aileen Miralbuna clinched the last two spots with 728 and 716 respectively. In the finals, Fernandez and Bustinera turned out arch-rival when the former topped the two games at 394 against the latter's 372. Maintaining winning column were Lim (342) and Lourdes (335), while Jintarat and Miralbuna kept distance with 330 each.
