No to chaos
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 11 - 2011

ThE Kingdom has always been secure and stable and is free from public disturbances.
However, amid the country's peace and quiet, some individuals want to disturb the Kingdom's tranquility and wreck havoc by pursuing their insidious agendas.
These are people who have little regard for the welfare of the majority who want to live in peace. These are people who do not realize or understand the gravity of their actions and take orders from outside forces.
Last Monday's shooting incident in Qatif which claimed the lives of two citizens and injured six people, including a woman, is clear proof of the mindless actions of such people. From all indications, they received their orders from outside forces.
They have no qualms about killing innocent people and bringing untold pain and suffering to the families of their victims.
These people who want to create chaos at the expense of the majority should be dealt with strictly and firmly to stop them from creating more mayhem.
With this in mind, people who have not lost their sense of reason have a role to play. They can set an example of honest and healthy living which is not easily swayed by those who have violent agendas.
Those who happen to know the criminals should advise them that their actions are not in keeping with our social norms and that they must think about the people whose lives they have affected.
We should join together to raise our voices for the world to hear that such criminal acts are a betrayal of our country, countrymen and the human race.
The responses to such criminal acts should be firm and strong so that those who plan to create chaos will think a thousand times before attempting to translate their plans into action.
We have only one country which looks after our welfare and we should make every effort to protect the security of our country and the safety of our fellow citizens.
