The Jeddah Shopping Festival will be held from Jan. 18 to Feb. 18 next year, it was announced by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI). The annual event is being organized by the JCCI, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and the Jeddah Mayoralty. The JCCI will soon hold the first orientation meeting for the festival with 150 leading residents of the city. Sheikh Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the JCCI, said the festival aims to boost tourism in Jeddah. “The festival will help boost the hotels, places of entertainment and will attract the largest number of Saudi families, Umrah performers and visitors to Jeddah,” Kamel said. The JCCI has designed a strategic marketing and media plan to build a positive image of the festival. Kamel added that the festival will cut down on the spending of Saudi families abroad.
