THE nation and the rest of the world bade farewell to Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General in a funeral that was joined by Arab and foreign leaders as well as officials from Arab and Muslim countries. Everyone in the Kingdom, regardless of race and gender, mourned the death of Sultan Al-Khair, an exemplar of benevolence and magnanimity. The funeral took place after Asr prayer on Tuesday in Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque in the capital city of Riyadh. The body was buried in the historic Al-Ouda Cemetery, where the nation's founder King Abdul Aziz and his sons who succeeded him were also laid to rest. The Kingdom bade farewell to the man who had a long history of remarkable achievements in national affairs as well as in humanitarian and welfare causes. Prince Sultan will always be remembered for his valuable contributions in building and developing the Kingdom into a prosperous nation over the past 60 years. The entire nation wept for him because of its love for the great man whom history will immortalize for his noble deeds. Prince Sultan's departure left a scar on the hearts of every citizen and expatriate residing in the Kingdom. His death touched the heart of everyone, especially King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. On the day King Abdullah was discharged from the hospital after having undergone a surgical operation, he went straight to the airport to receive his brother's body and to pay homage, despite his doctors' advice that he should stay in bed until he had fully recovered. Prince Sultan is gone but he will always remain not only in the memory of the Royal family but also in the hearts of people whose lives he had touched with his gentle nature, generosity, magnanimity and humanitarian endeavors. __
