Exciting encounters as Madina cricket kicks off

My Care and Hala, Madina Stars, Eagle-XI and Pak Kashmir scored wins in the first week action of Crown Steel Challenge Cup here recently.
A record number of 19 teams, divided into two groups, are taking part in the Cup, sponsored by Crown Steel and organized by Madina Cricket League.
The opening match saw My Care and Hala beat Crown Blues by 112 runs. Batting first My Care racked up 251-8 in 20 overs and then bundled out the rivals for 139 in 18.2 overs.
Musawwir scored 68 off 23 deliveries, while Barakat made 46, Nazim remained unbeaten on 24, Tariq hit 24, Tahir 14 and Akram 12 for My Care. Umar Jutt and Naeem took two wickets each for Crown Blues.
Zahid scored 36, Shahbaz 27 and Sohail remained not out on 16 for Crown Blues. Musawwir and Rao Mushtaq bagged two wickets each for the winning side. The second encounter saw Madinah Stars batting first piled up 180-6 in 20 overs and then bowled out Multan-XI for 166 in 18 overs to score a 14-run win.
Mustafa (44) and Nadeem (68) were the main scorers for Madinah Stars. Mohammed Sayed took 3-38 and Usman Butt grabbed 2 wicket.
Farrukh scored 29, Ilyas Madani 28, Pervaiz 29 for Multan-XI. Hamza bagged two wickets as Mustafa, Ahmed Raza, Qari claimed a wicket each for Madinah Stars.
The third match saw Awali Kings score 169-8 in 20 overs, but Eagle-XI achieved the target for the loss of four wickets, thereby winning the match by six wickets.
Sajid, Adnan and Khalid contributed 27 each as Mahmood made 25 and Sher Yawarali 21 for Awali. Haider bagged two wickets as Nauman, Kashif, Jamshed, Amjad, Usman and Sabir claimed one wicket each for the Eagles.
Eagle batsmen responded aggressively and achieved the target in 18 overs. Kashif and Jamshed hit 41 each, while Nauman scored 23. Khalid bagged two wickets as Tariq, Gulam Qadeer and Mehmood claimed a wicket each for Awali.
Pak Kashmir won its match against Fuchs on technical grounds.
