Webb Simpson, chasing England's Luke Donald for the US PGA Tour's money title, nabbed a brace of late birdies for a share of second place after two rounds of the McGladrey Classic Friday. Unheralded Billy Horschel surged into the lead with an eagle and two birdies in his last four holes, firing a six-under 64 on the par-70 Seaside course for a 36-hole total of 12-under 128. But overnight co-leader Simpson, winner of two tournaments on the US tour this year, stayed in touch with a three-under 67 for 130, tied for second with Michael Thompson (65). Couples shares lead In San Antonio, Fred Couples shot a 7-under 65 to take a share of the first-round lead with Steve Lowery Friday at the Champions Tour's AT&T Championship. Lowery settled for a birdie at the 190-yard 13th after his 6-iron lipped out, then holed out from the fairway from 168 yards with an 8-iron for an eagle on the next hole. Hal Sutton and Nick Price were a stroke behind, and Tommy Armour III and Chien Soon Lu had 67s. Cabrera-Bello in lead Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello, aiming for a second European Tour title, led the Portugal Masters after another bout of low-scoring by Saturday's third-round field at the Victoria club. An eight-under 64 laced with two eagles and five birdies took the 2009 Austrian Open winner to 18-under-par 198, a stroke better than Swede Christian Nilsson (66) and Chile's Felipe Aguilar (67). Thomas Bjorn (66), bidding for a fourth win of the year, and 2010 Ryder Cup Swede Peter Hanson (64) are a further stroke back. Choi ahead in Malaysia South Korea's Na Yeon Choi took a one-stroke lead over Brittany Lang Saturday in the LPGA Malaysia, finishing off a 4-under 67 in fading light after a long rain delay. Choi birdied the par-3 15th and par-4 16th and closed with two pars to reach 12 under at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. Lang, tied for the second-round lead with fellow American Stacy Lewis, birdied four of the last six holes – the last on the par-4 18th at dusk – for a 69. Spain's Azahara Munuz was 10-under after a 68.
