Webb Simpson endured a difficult day on the greens Saturday but still stayed within two strokes of Michael Thompson's third-round lead at the McGladrey Classic. Simpson, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour this season, needed 35 putts in his one-under par 69 on the par-70 Seaside Course. That gave him a 54-hole total of 11-under 199, tied for third with former Masters champion Trevor Immelman behind Thompson and Billy Horschel. Choi wins in Malaysia South Korea's Na Yeon Choi won the LPGA Malaysia Sunday for her first LPGA Tour victory of the season, closing with a 3-under 69 to beat Yani Tseng by a stroke. Choi finished at 15-under 269 at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. She birdied the par-3 17th to take the outright lead and parred the par-4 18th to hold off Tseng a week after finishing second behind the Taiwanese star in South Korea. Spain's Azahara Munoz closed with a 69 to finish third at 12-under, South Korea's Se Ri Pak (69) followed at 10-under, and Americans Stacy Lewis (70) and Brittany Lang (73) were 9-under. Couples way ahead Fred Couples birdied six of the first seven holes and finished with a course-record 10-under 62 Saturday to take a seven-stroke lead in the Champions Tour's AT&T Championship. Couples had 12 birdies – six in a back-nine 30 – and a double bogey to reach 17-under at TPC San Antonio's Canyons Course, the first-year venue after nine years at Oak Hills. Mark Calcavecchia was second after a bogey-free 66. He made a 20-foot birdie putt on the 18th. The seven-stroke lead is the largest 36-hole margin on the 50-and-over tour since 1998 when Isao Aoki, Hale Irwin and Larry Nelson led events by eight shots. Lewis wins Portugal Masters English golfer Tom Lewis needed just three tournaments to earn his first title as a professional, shooting a 7-under 65 Sunday to win the Portugal Masters by two shots. Lewis made five birdies over the last seven holes to overtake Rafael Cabrera-Bello, who held a four-stroke lead going into the final round. Gregory Havret (64), David Lynn (64), Christian Nilsson (71), Thomas Bjorn (71) and Jamie Donaldson (67) finished three shots behind.
