The International Islamic Relief Organization-Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) at a reception here Thursday honored all the accredited consuls general in Jeddah. The event was attended by members of the IIROSA General Assembly, dignitaries, social figures, senior government employees and representatives of the media. Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Muslim World League and President of IIROSA Board of Directors, said the consuls general are cooperating with the IIROSA in accomplishing its mission. “We have the same objectives which are aimed at serving humanity and rescuing people in distress,” he added. He described the interfaith initiative launched by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as an attempt to open dialogue and further cement cooperation among various monotheistic religions. “The conflict of civilization theory is wrong as all divine religions call for monotheism, honesty, cooperation and solidarity,” Al-Turki said. Al-Turki described IIROSA as the first, independent and largest organization established by the MWL and said it has maintained close cooperation with a number of international organizations. “The IIROSA is working in the humanitarian field which requires support from everyone. The consuls general are the keys that help us carry out this noble message,” he said.
