Over 315 leading companies from Saudi Arabia and 33 other countries will participate in Saudi Agriculture 2011 expo, the 30th international agriculture, water and agro-industry show to be opened at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center on Sunday. Organized under the patronage of Dr. Fahd Balghunaim, Minister of Agriculture, Saudi Agriculture 2011, Middle East's premier business-to-business agriculture and agro-food event, will offer opportunities to stakeholders in the $5.6 billion Saudi food and beverages market, which is thriving with an increasing population and demand for quality products in the Kingdom. “We are all set to start the four-day event, as over 315 exhibitors from more than 33 countries have confirmed their participation. The participants will not only showcase the state-of-the-art technologies in agro-food sector, but also discuss key issues and best practices for Saudis and others participating in the show,” said Mohamad Al-Hussaini, Deputy General Manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC), organizer of the event. He said the four-day trade show, which runs until Sept. 22, has received a strong response from international exhibitors and local agencies, as the expo will also mark its 30 years. __
