RIYADH: About 140 exhibitors from Saudi Arabia and other countries have confirmed participation in the Saudi Medicare 2011 that will be inaugurated by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeah, Minister of Health, Saturday at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, according to a top official of Riyadh Exhibition Center (REC), the organizers of the event. Mohammed Al-Hussaini, REC deputy general manager, said countries like Germany, Portugal, Pakistan, China, Korea and France will set up their national pavilions at the four-day show. “With the participation of an overwhelming number of exhibitors, which include those from Germany, Portugal, Pakistan, China, Korea and France, the Saudi Medicare 2011 will occupy 30 percent more exhibition space up to 7,500 sq. meters,” said Al-Hussaini. REC is organizing the show under the patronage of Ministry of Health (MoH). Al-Hussaini said the Saudi Medicare 2011 is a platform to connect key regional and international players in the healthcare industry that include investors, high-profile buyers, decision-makers and healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia. The event also offers a wide range of support facilities to help develop business relations, promote discussions while creating an ideal platform for exhibitors to showcase their products, technologies, services and the latest medical innovations before prospective business partners. “The significant expansion in exhibition space this year reflects the growing importance of Saudi Medicare, as the premier trade-only platform in Saudi Arabia's health care industry,” said Al-Hussaini. Saudi Medicare 2011 that runs along with the 14th International Healthcare, Hospital Supplies and Medical Equipment Show will cover the full range of Saudi Arabia's healthcare industry, including healthcare technology, management and insurance. Also taking place alongside the trade show are Saudi Eye Care 2011, the 7th International Eye Care and Optical Technology Exhibition and Saudi Dentistry 2011, the 10th International Dental Health Exhibition. The Directorate General of Hospital Affairs Administration of Radiology will also organize the 2nd Radiology Technologists Conference on the sidelines of the event. Saudi Medicare 2011 is being supported by Siemens and Tawuniya, which are the event's Diamond Sponsors.
