Jeddah Police pursue the main female actor Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – Jeddah Police have detained a 32-year-old Saudi woman for allegedly aiding and abetting another woman impersonate a bank customer in person and swindled SR45,000 out of a customer's account, using tricks similar to the ones seen in movies. The customer came to know about withdrawal of the amount when she went to the bank. She quickly reported the incident to Nuzha District Police with the help of a bank employee. The CCTV footage showed two women coming together to the bank, one pretended to be a customer while the other told the bank employee that her partner was the holder of bank account. Misguided, the bank employee fell for their tricks. Both ladies signed required papers and left the bank with SR45,000 in their pockets. The bank told the investigation team that the signature on the check used to withdraw the money was not compatible with that of the real bank customer. The bank provided the investigation team with reports proving that one of the women impersonated the real customer in person. Two bank employees were entrusted with the task of identifying both the women when they come to the bank again. And one of them did come again for a bank transaction and was taken to the investigation team right away. The woman admitted that she had been an accomplice and helped her partner withdraw money from a customer's account. She told the team about the whereabouts of her partner and police started looking for her to arrest her and recover the stolen money. Brig. Gen. Misfer Al-Juaid, Jeddah Police spokesman, said that police is still looking for the other woman. __
