Prince Salman Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz has been appointed Assistant Secretary General of the National Security Council (NSC) for Intelligence and Security Affairs (Excellent Rank), according to a Royal Order issued here Sunday. The appointment was made on the recommendation of Prince Bandar Bin Sultan, Secretary-General of the Council. A second Royal Order appointed Engineer Abdullah Bin Yahya Al-Mu'allimi, who is the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations, to the post of Ambassador No. 2 with excellent rank. Al-Mu'allimi holds a Master's degree in management from Stanford University, and Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Oregon State University. He served as Saudi Ambassador to Belgium, Brussels from 2007-2011. He was Jeddah Mayor from 2001-2005. He was a member of the Shoura Council from 1997-2001. From 1999 to 2007, he was a member of the Consultative Body of the Higher Commission for the Cooperation Council. From 1987 to 2001, he served as Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Al-Alayan Group. A third Royal Order appointed Abdul Aziz Bin Saleh Al-Hawwas as Advisor at the Office of the Chief of General Intelligence Presidency (GIP) with Excellent Rank.
