Twelve persons from three different families were taken to the General Hospital in Rijal Alma' for suspected food poisoning immediately after partaking a traditional meal in a Jubail restaurant, Thursday. The victims included women and children. The restaurant has temporarily been closed down after food samples were taken for laboratory tests, officials said. Soon after taking the meals, the victims complained of stomach ache, nausea and vomiting and were rushed to the hospital where urgent stomach cleansing was done, Ahmad Mufrih Al-Alma'i, Assistant Director of the General Hospital, said. Medical teams swiftly treated the victims and informed the municipality and security authorities, he added. __
