The Usrati Charitable Society for Marriage and Family Care in Madina region paid SR6.9 million to help more than 700 men and women get married this year. Expenses for activities covering family care during the first half of the year have reached SR1 million, the organization added. The Usrati Society has implemented several educational programs to achieve family stability and encourage youngsters to get married and live happily. It is also working to reduce divorce rates and the numbers of unmarried women; it offers programs for women who have never been married, divorcees and wives who have marital problems with their husbands. The Usrati Society has also implemented 24 three-month training programs targeting 400 young men and women. “Towards a Stable Family,” another program offered by the Usrati Society, raises awareness of the importance of family stability. The charitable group's programs have targeted institutions like the Department of Education, Taibah University, public-security sectors, King Fahd Hospital, Maternity and Children Hospital, the College of Technology and the armed forces. The society hopes to reach out to and benefit at least 7,500 people this year. __
