A Ministry of Labor report has shown a 13 percent rise in labor disputes bringing the total to 15,746 cases looked into by the primary commissions in one year. The report said these cases include disputes and injuries settled amicably by Labor Offices and have been closed. It said that 8,100 cases were resolved in the primary commissions. The ministry added that the time taken for each case was based on details, evidence and cooperation of the parties. The report pointed out that there were 540 cases involving the arbitrary sacking of employees.
