The Labor Office here is investigating a case of arbitrary sacking filed by a former employee against a company that is in charge of executing a government project in the city's Central Zone. The man said he was fired because he submitted a detailed report on the company's violations of regulations while executing the project, which endangered project personnel. Adnan Mohammad Al-Qathami said, “The company began assigning me tasks that were not commensurate with my level of experience in order to force me to resign, which I could not do because I have a large family.” “They then transferred me to a deserted area,” he added, “where they are executing another project, after which they considered me absent for a period of time and sacked me.”
