Qassim Police on Monday arrested an Asian-Arab gang of thieves suspected of involvement in stealing cables, installing chips in towers for mobile telephones, vehicle batteries and accessories. The suspects also stole cable connections to homes and cables connected to lightning rods, authorities said, and rented rural rest houses to store the stolen property until it was sold, officials said.
