Kirk Edwards completed an unbeaten half-century on his Test debut to lead a West Indian fightback on the fourth day of the third and final Test against India Saturday. Edwards was 62 not out when tea was taken with West Indies on 116 for three in its second innings, still 27 runs behind the tourists. Edwards and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, West Indies' most capped player, put on a 76 partnership after India, who leads the series 1-0, reduced the home side to 40-3. Edwards' determined display killed India's hopes soon. The tourists, who earlier were dismissed for 347 with Fidel Edwards ending with five wickets, made a bright start picking up two wickets before lunch. Kieran Powell edged Ishant Sharma to Suresh Raina at third slip and then fellow opener Adrian Barath also played at a ball he could have left alone, diverting a Praveen Kumar delivery to Virat Kohli at fourth slip. Then Harbhajan Singh snapped up Darren Bravo for 14, caught by Kumar at mid-off as he tried to drive.
