Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, steps out of the Holy Ka'ba after washing the House of Allah on behalf of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saturday. Prince Khaled was welcomed by Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein, President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madina, and other officials. The event was attended by a number of princes and officials. The Ka'ba is washed twice every year — in Sha'aban and Dhul Hijja — using Zamzam water, oud oil and rose water. The annual tradition includes the washing of the Ka'ba floor and internal walls to a height of 1.5 meters before being dried with oud oil. (SPA photo) __
