MAKKAH: On behalf of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah, is scheduled to wash the Holy Ka'ba today Tuesday. The occasion will be attended by the President General of the Two Holy Mosque Affairs Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hussayen and his deputy Muhammad Bin Nasser Al-Khuzayyim and members of the Islamic diplomatic corps in the Kingdom. The Ka'ba is washed twice every year – in Sha'ban and Dhul Hijja - using Zamzam water, oud oil and rose water. The annual tradition includes the washing of the Ka'ba's floor and internal walls to a height of 1.5 meters before being dried with oud oil.
