JEDDAH: King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, met Friday a group of Indonesian orphan tsunami victims who thanked him for his sponsorship and care. King Abdullah launched a program for tsunami orphans in Indonesia with the sponsorship of 2,000 children for the period of 15 years or until they reach the age of 18. The scheme has grown since its work began in 2009 to now provide care for 5,310 orphans. The children greeted the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with Islamic “nasheed” chants and presented him with a commemorative shield.
