More than two years after being forced out of their homes by the security conflict at the southern border, the people of Al-Khouba have begun moving back. Jizan Emir Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser previously ordered that all homes be fully repaired and renovated by the middle of next month to allow the displaced, who were provided by the government with accommodation at locations across the country, to return. Al-Khouba was at the center of much of the conflict with infiltrating Yemeni rebels, forcing inhabitants of the town and surrounding region's villages to abandon their homes, often without time to pack belongings.
