JEDDAH: Zultec downed Usman Gems by 7 wickets as Elaf had the last laugh against Zultrack in the Summer Premier League. In the Summer Afternoon Al-Safri defeated My Care Blue, United C.C. thrashed Arif Gymkhana, Crown Blue got the better of Contraco as AMI Juffali won against Usman Gems.
The tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Center, is being played at WPCA.
In the Summer Premier match No. 7, Usman Gems batting first against Zultec piled up 192 as under-19 prospect Zubaid made 56 with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Rashid Malik 35, Akram 30 and Usman Syed Ali 29. Khalid Iqbal grabbed 3-24.
In reply Zultec easily chased the target after losing 3 wickets as Abdullah Essa hammered unbeaten 99 off 47 balls, Javed made 40 and Wajahat 20.
Match 8 saw Elaf Engineering batting against Zultrack racked up 233 for 2. Siddique who blasted 122 in 48 balls with 13 hits to the fence and 5 sixes, Majid 31 and Usman scored 45.
Zultrack chasing the mammoth target was restricted to 199 for 7 thus losing by 29 runs as Emaad scored 57, Wahid 36, Arif 32, Chand 29 and Khadim 25. Majid took 2-29 and Siddiq 2-35.
In the Summer Afternoon match No. 15, Al-Safri XI scored 192 for 6 against My Care Blue as Umer hit 71 in 39 balls and added 114 runs with Aftab who scored 43 as Rehan contributed 29 and Shahid 24. Amjad took 2-25.
In reply My Care Blue scored 157 for 9 and lost the match by 35 runs. Javaid 24 and Yusuf 22 were the main scorers. Manjeet scalped 2-12, Abid 2-21 and Aftab 2-43.
In match No. 16, Ami Juffali plundered 191 for 8 against Usman Gems Warriors as Emaad stroked 56 in 26 balls, Rafi Gujjar scored 40 and Imran 41. Zafar of Warriors grabbed 5 wickets for 41 runs.
Warriors in response were bundled out for 137 as Najam Uzbak scalped 4 wickets for 27 and Asif took 3-31 to down Usman Gems Warriors by 54 runs. Irfan made 33, Nadeem Shabbir 32 and Zafaran 26 for the losers.
In match No. 17, United C.C. defeated Arif Gymkhana by 5 wickets. Gymkhana batting first scored 166 as opener Imran stroked 68 and Mehmood Ahmed 36. Sarfaraz grabbed 4 wickets for 27 and Rana Shahzad 3-20.
UCC in reply achieved the winning target with 170 for 5 as Shahnawaz hit 8 fours to stroke 44 and Amir Shahzad making 22. Jilaan took 2-25.
Crown Blue in the 18th match restricted opponents Contraco for 132 for 9 in 20 overs as Fahad grabbed 3-25, Tauseef 2-7 and skipper Murtuza 2-27. Tahir scored 29 for Contraco.
Crown Blue reached the winning target with 135 for 5. Hasanat scored unbeaten 63 in 41 balls and Fahad scored 19. Amjad took 2
