RIYADH: Chefs from over 10 Arab and foreign countries are scheduled to participate in Horeca, the International Food, Hospitality and Beverages Show 2011 in Riyadh, said Bassil Abdul Aziz Al-Radi, Executive President of the Saudi Exhibitions and Conferences Organizing Company. The five-day show is being held at the Riyadh International Center for Conferences and Exhibitions. Okaz Organization for Press and Publication is the media sponsor of the show, which is being held in the Kingdom for the first time. Foreign countries taking part include Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, Malaysia, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. Okaz Organization publishes Okaz Arabic daily and Saudi Gazette. A total of 225 international chefs, including 25 Saudi chefs, will participate in the “Best Chef Contest”. The competition will be judged by seven international judges. Al-Radi said the show offers a unique networking opportunity for companies involved in the food, beverages and hospitality industry.
