International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) hosted its first-ever book fair at the end of last month, organized by Daud Arif, Head Boy and literary Club Advisor. The fair was arranged within the school library and coordinated by the librarian Riahan-uz-Zaman, with a diverse range of books on display. Themes and genres of books displayed, included history, sports, cookery, languages and science fiction as well as comic books and the Harry Potter series. The rates of books on sale were adjusted according to how much students could afford to pay for them. The fair's purpose was to encourage reading amongst students of all ages.
