BATIN: There will be more than 100 dusty days this year, which will have the most violent weather in decades and scorching heat in the next 40 days, said astronomy researcher Khaled Al-Za'aq. In the coming months, dust will appear at any time, whether there is heavy rain, high humidity or dry spells, he added. Al-Za'aq told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the Arabian Peninsula region traps dust particles that remain suspended high in the atmosphere. Dust also boosts temperatures because it traps the sun's heat, he noted. While forecasts indicate that the temperatures this summer will be at their natural levels, there will be severe heat in the next 40 days, he said.
