With reference to the article "Turkey urges UN to 'step in' as Syrians pour across border" (April 7), I believe that the United Nations and international community have to move quickly to force the regime of Bashar Al-Ashad to open a "humanitarian corridor" for Syrian people wanting to seek refuge in Turkey and other countries. The Al-Assad regime doesn't seem to be sincere in its pledge to end the bloodshed in Syria. Despite its pronouncement that it will stop the violence against its own people, it has not shown any intent to stop the genocide. Drastic action is needed to send a firm message to Al-Assad not only to stop the violence but also to step down. Ahmed Ali, Riyadh
