It is strange that there are still people who think that the Syrian regime will stop its massacre of innocent Syrians and will end the demolition of their homes. This fascist regime has closed all avenues for dialogue and has closed its ears to reason and diplomacy. It does not care about the screams of people who are being killed every day by its troops. The Kingdom has tried all diplomatic channels to bring an end to the carnage but to no avail. That is why the Kingdom has taken a firm position against the Syrian regime, based on ethical and humanitarian standards. It has advised the Syrian regime several times to resolve the conflict and stop the violence. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has called President Bashar Al-Assad three times to give him advice but, unfortunately, Al-Assad has not heeded the King's counsel. The Arab League proposed a way out of the crisis for Syria but the Syrian regime opted to ignore the initiative and instead escalated the conflict. The Syrian people are demanding their rights and a guarantee that they will be allowed to live an honorable life. Al-Assad's regime has not dealt with these demands in good faith. That has led to the unrest in which protesters have asked Al-Assad to step down so that the Syrian people can set up a government that will care for them. Despite the horrible situation in Syria many Arab countries have still not taken a decisive position against the Syrian regime. Many other countries have still not made up their minds how to end the genocide. This ambivalence has encouraged Al-Assad's regime to continue its butchery and has made these countries silent accomplices to its crime against humanity. __
