Microsoft Launched Windows 10
The cloud OS is the major element in Microsoft's growth
Published in Alriyadh on 02 - 10 - 2014

According to the Fortune that Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group said the cloud OS plays a major role in Microsoft's growth. It's facts that many reports has already been publicized about Microsoft's latest Windows 10 and the reintroduction of its long-lost Start button after the corporation revealed its updated flagship operating system on Tuesday morning. The latest OS may give a much-needed progress over its predecessor, Windows 8, but it is doubtful to reinstate Microsoft MSFT -0.06% to its previous glory as the operating system of preference for computing devices, certainly not in an era where the tablets and smart phones have largely supplanted the PC in terms of attention. But when we talk about company's development scale than Microsoft is observing the countless development, though, is in its cloud-supported commerce's like Azure (a place for monitoring business applications) and Office 365 (the cloud-based edition of its signature productivity software suite). In the corporation's most current earnings statement, profits from commercial cloud services grew 147%, the company grew revenue 33% year-over-year with a gross margin increase of 102% and this is signifying an annualized run rate of over $4.4 billion.
Previously, the corporation's new CEO Satya Nadella said with shareholders in July that "Our Cloud OS represents the greatest growing opportunity for Microsoft, and he will concentrate on a cloud business much more. It's no doubt Nadella, the ex- executive vice president of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group, is enthusiastic and confidence on the business because since taking over the top job earlier this year, he has restructured the company and made selling Microsoft's cloud infrastructure and applications a priority. Nadella also beat Scott Guthrie, a longtime Microsoft exec, for his previous role and Fortune just caught up with Guthrie to inquire about some of the changes under Nadella, the rivalry with Amazon, and what differentiates Microsoft's cloud products.
