At least 34 people were killed across Iraq in a series of bombings targeting security forces, including an attack on an intelligence building in Baghdad on Saturday, dpa cited officials as saying. A suicide attacker drove a bomb-laden car near the intelligence offices in the Iraqi capital killing at least three people and wounding nine. In Baquba, located some 60 kilometres north of Baghdad, 13 people were killed in a series of attacks and clashes between militants suspected to belong to the Islamic State group and police forces. In the northern city of Kirkuk, 18 people were killed when two car bombs went off in the centre of the city and a suicide bomber blew himself up in a northern neighbourhood. The consecutive attacks left 112 injured, including members of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, Alsumaria news website reported quoting security officials.
