The Saudi medical team, led by Dr. Hamid bin Hamad Al-Omran, left Yemen today after a two-week visit during which they performed 270 surgical cardiac operations for children, including 12 rare operations to correct heart complications. Leader of the team said, in a departure statement at Sanaa International airport, that the operations were performed at Althoura hospital, Al-Kuwait hospital and the Military hospital in Sanaa. He added that all operations ended successfully with almost all patients discharged from hospitals, except three who are expected to leave within the coming few hours.
