The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired a Cabinet's session held at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet reviewed reports on the latest events and developments at regional, Arab and international arenas, renewing the Kingdom's positions toward them. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the Cabinet commended the decisions of the 138th session of Arab League Council on the condemnation of all forms of killings and violence against the Syrian people, considering such massacres as crimes against humanity, and calling for their cessation. The Cabinet expressed the appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for States and civil society organizations that participated in the donors' meeting (Consultative Group to support the Republic of Yemen) hosted by the Kingdom, during which participants announced their support for Yemen with an amount of more than $ 6.369 billion led by the Kingdom to help Yemen to overcome its political and economic crisis and to meet its developmental needs. The Minister said that the Cabinet reviewed a number of scientific, medical and economic conferences, symposiums and activities held in the Kingdom this week and commended in this regard the International Conference on Healthy Lifestyles and Non-Communicable Diseases in the Arab World and the Middle East, which was held under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and a symposium entitled 'The role and responsibility of public prosecution and judicial bodies in the fight against money laundering and financing of terrorism.' Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet then continued discussing the agenda and issued the following decisions: The Cabinet approved the establishment of a Commission of Public Education Evaluation. The new organization, which will be headquartered in Riyadh, will be chaired by a governor with excellent rank. The commission's head will report to the President of Supreme Education Council. The commission is to establish a system to evaluate and guarantee the quality of the public education. The commission also evaluates performance of public and private schools periodically and is to build national standard tests for each grade. The Commission of Public Education Evaluation will have a board of directors including the governor (chairman), representatives of the Ministry of Education, National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, National Center for Assessment of Higher Education, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Saudi Society for educational and psychological Sciences, four experts in the field of the commission's activity and a representative of the private sector. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding on military cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan which was signed in Riyadh 20/11/1430H. The Cabinet accredited a final account of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities for the fiscal year 1431/1432H. The Cabinet approved an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Kazakhstan in the field of avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion regarding taxes on income and the attached protocol, which was signed in Astana 5/7/1432H. The cabinet approved one transference and several appointments as follow: 1. Khalid bin Omar Abdrabbuh is appointed to post of ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Abdulqader is transferred from the post of financial advisor at the General Auditing Bureau (rank 15) to the post of administrative advisor at the Ministry of Higher Education in the same rank. 3. Omar bin Ahmad Al-Omar is appointed to the post of administrative advisor at the Supreme Council of Magistracy (rank 15) 4. Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Selayem is appointed to the post of Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 5. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Hanaki is appointed to the post of director general of information technology (rank 14) at the Department of Zakat (alms) and Income Tax.
