In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the telephone call the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan during which they discussed the bilateral relations and the mutual cooperation between the two countries and reviewed the latest developments in the region.

Dr. Khoja said the Cabinet listened to a report on the latest developments in a number of Arab and Islamic countries, emphasizing the statement issued by the Extraordinary Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States which was held in Riyadh yesterday. The statement condemned the continued Iranian blatant interferences in the internal affairs of the GCC members states through conspiring against their national security and spreading division and sectarian strife among their citizens, acts that represent a violation of their sovereignty, independence, principles of good neighborliness, international norms and laws, and the Charters of both the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Conference.

The statement called on the concerned parties to give priority to the national interest and to quickly return to national dialogue in order to agree on the national goals and the needed reforms that lead to a comprehensive agreement that restores public social peace and achieves the desired reform and stable, secure and decent life for the Yemeni people.
The Cabinet expressed appreciation of the government and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain for lauding the stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the Kingdom of Bahrain against attempts to destabilize its security and stability, stressing that the return of calm and stability to the Kingdom of Bahrain is attributed to its leadership which used wisdom in dealing with the domestic affairs.
The Cabinet also addressed the outcomes of the London Ministerial Conference on Libya, expressing hope for a settlement of the situation in Libya where the ultimate aim is to protect Libyan people and provide humanitarian assistance for the affected people. The Cabinet warned of the repercussions of the crisis on the humanitarian situation of Libyan people.
