UN's Ban Ki-moon Commends Turkish 'Restraint' Over Plane

The UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, has commended Turkey's restrained response to the downing of its military jet by Syria, it emerged Sunday.
In a telephone call released by his office but made Saturday to the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, Ban 'expressed his deep concern about the downed Turkish military jet and particularly about the potential serious implications of this incident for the region,' the statement was quoted as saying by DPA.
