The Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah has approved penalties of fines, warnings, closing of some facilities, and withdrawal of licenses imposed by the Ministry of Health during the last month against private health institutions including 73 pharmacies, 22 medical stores, 37 hospitals, and 34 clinics. The penalties imposed on health institution violators included 267 fines, 8 warnings, 5 closures, and 4 license-withdrawals. Jeddah accounted for 41 violations, followed by the Eastern Region 37 violations and Riyadh 36 violations. The Ministry of Health has stressed that it will continue its inspection tours in the coming period to monitor all private health institutions and apply measures against all violators.
