A medical committee which monitors pharmacies and medical malpractice in Ahsa has fined a number of health facilities an amount of SR145,000. A committee report states that violations included expired medicines from pharmacies while other pharmacies have been charged for not renewing their licenses. The committee also found some pharmacists failing to adhere to their professional code by not wearing the correct form of dress, and a number of health centers were fined for publishing advertisements without the consent of the authorities concerned. Hussien Al-Rawai Al-Rewaili, Director of Health Affairs in Ahsa, warned violators that the authorities would deal with them strictly and would not tolerate any infraction that put people's lives at risk. – Okaz __
