Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Health, referred gratefully to the health sector support and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - and their wise government. He affirmed that the issuance of the charity budget for this year and the contents of the health projects and substantial appropriations for health services reflect the keenness of leadership and its continuing interest in the development of health services and the provision of comprehensive health care for esteemed citizens. He added yesterday during the signing of contracts of projects with a cost of more than 3 Billion Riyals that these contracts come within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Health and its quest to provide health services in the best way and on the highest levels thus giving effect to the directives of the Saudi governors- may Allah protect them. This is according to the Ministry's keenness to provide health care to our citizens in all parts of the Kingdom. Continued to say: "The Ministry of Health under the umbrella of the generous support it enjoys from the leadership has recently shed intensive efforts to invest all the forms of this support by working to improve the level of performance in health facilities and ensure the provision of health services of high quality live up to the expectations of the Saudi governors - may Allah protect them- and address the citizens' healthy needs. In line with the visions and directives of the Royal advice that the health of the citizen is worth best care, the Ministry witnesses a dynamic comprehensive improvement in all health facilities, programs and activities for serving patients. This is due to the slogan of "Patients come first" The most prominent projects confirmed is to set up Al Hail Public Hospital with a capacity of (300) beds along with a housing unit costing (249.676.633) SAR, the establishment of Abqaiq Public Hospital with a capacity of (100) beds and a cost (134.128.792) SAR and the establishment and furnishing of medical stores in various regions of the Kingdom with amount of (114.559.512) SAR in addition to operating non-medical and medical maintenance of King Khaled's Eye Specialist with amount of (119.619.168) SAR. Additional 7 contracts also to secure supplies for laboratories and blood transfusion services Khaleej (11) and supplies hospital equipment Khaleej (28) and securing the x-ray machines at a total cost (643.839.369) SAR, including (104) General x-ray digital machines, (34) Florscopy-ray digital machines, (12) digital scans with 16 slides, (19) contracts for the delivery of medicines, (33) Khaleej apparatus of pharmaceuticals and vaccines and Gulf (25) at a total cost covering (1.794.350.475) SAR.
