he Minister of Justice, Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Kareem Al-Eisa opened here today the Forum on Role of Social Services in Sharia Courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized by the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with Saudi Social Studies Society (SSSS). The ceremony was attended by Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, who stressed that the adoption of the initiative of activating social services at Sharia Courts through the establishment of Offices of Social Services at Sharia Courts is considered as an advanced and civilized step, noting that urban cities account for 75% of the number of total population. In his speech, the Minister of Justice commended the Ministry of Social Affairs and Saudi Social Studies Society for this initiative, pointing out that there are cases that can be solved by mediation and reconciliation offices, noting that social cases account for 60% of the total cases at courts.
