At the conclusion of its 3rd meeting, the Executive Office of Arab Water Ministers Council agreed on the strategy for Arab water security to meet the challenges and future requirements for sustainable development in its final form. Executive Office of Arab Water Ministers Council also decided to submit the final form of the strategy to the Arab Ministerial Water Council at its next session scheduled on 22 June for adoption. In a statement after the meeting, Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, Arab League Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs confirmed the importance of this strategy as it represents evidence of joint Arab action that covers a period until 2030 to be reviewed every 5 years according to accurate indicators of performance which can be measured and monitored.
