Arab justice ministerial council underscored the importance of continuing Arab lobbying the United Nations General Assembly for forming a task team to study the proposal submitted by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz regarding the set-up of an international center for combating terrorism and a task team from experts of Arab justice and interior ministerial council to study the idea of setting up an Arab Anti-terrorism Center. This came in a final statement issued by the closing session of the Arab justice ministers 23rd conference in Cairo today. Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Alsheikh , Minister of Justice, led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the conference. The council emphasized the importance of enhancing Arab and international cooperation to combat terrorism and to activate mechanisms of Arab and international judicial cooperation in this regard. They called for addressing the roots of terrorism and not confusing terrorism and Islamic religion as Islam calls for tolerance, rejection of extremism, violence and terrorism. --Spa
