Saudi Grains Organization has awarded the 3rd batch of imported wheat for the year 2017 AD amounting to 480,000 tons of wheat to be supplied during (October-December 2017) on board 13 ships through Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, the Organization announced today. The Organization's Governor Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris pointed out that this batch comes as an extension to the Kingdom's plan to cover the domestic demand for wheat and maintain strategic stocks, noting that two batches were previously awarded to import 1.5 million tons of wheat for this year.
