The Border Guards in Jazan and Najran regions succeeded in thwarting several attempts to smuggle quantities of hashish and narcotic pills during the period from 21/10/1438 AH until 6/11/1438 AH. The official spokesman of the border guards Commodore Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi pointed out that several people were monitored while trying to infiltrate into the Kingdom from Yemen to smuggle narcotics which required to deal with them firmly, adding that the operation resulted in the arrest of 10 Ethiopians, 19 Yemenis and one Saudi national. Commodore Al-Harbi noted that the total seizures were 472.55 grams of cannabis and 855 amphetamine pills.
