The Border Guard's spokesman Colonel Saher bin Mohammed Al-Harbi said that as a continuation of the implementation of the border guards' monitoring of the criminal networks that smuggle narcotics across the Kingdom's borders, border guards in the southern regions (Jazan, Najran and Asir) managed during the period 7-14/10/1438 H. to thwart several attempts to smuggle quantities of hashish and narcotic pills. He pointed out that several people were spotted trying to infiltrate the Kingdom from Yemen to smuggle narcotics resulting in the arrest of (14) Ethiopians and (5) Yemenis indicating that the total seized in possession of them was (543,200) kg of cannabis, and (63260) amphetamine tablets.
