The new Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to be received by Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) from Boeing Company for manufacturing civil aircraft in the United States of America. The aircraft will join the fleet of (SADUIA), which is currently witnessing an unprecedented program for modernization and development, aiming to reach 200 modern aircraft in 2020 within the framework of the transformation program being implemented at Saudi Arabian Airlines Organization, its companies and strategic units. The Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser said that this new aircraft is the 21st new aircraft to join the fleet of the National Carrier during the year 2017, after it received in the first half of this year 20 aircraft from the latest produced by factories in the world and 11 additional aircraft will be received before the end of the year to bring the number of aircraft joining the fleet in 2017 to 32 new aircraft, the largest number of aircraft to be received within one year, while 28 aircraft were received during the last year.
