JEDDAH – The Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has signed an agreement to acquire 50 aircraft of the latest models from Airbus company. The national carrier will take delivery of all the aircraft within three years, according to Saleh Al-Jasser, director general of the airlines. Under the agreement, Saudia will receive 30 aircraft of 320A model which is the best-selling in the world and 20 aircraft of regional 330-300A model. By this, Saudia will become the first international airline to have this version of the aircraft for its growing fleet. The agreement is an important step to support Saudia's transformation program and achieve the objectives of its strategic plan for the coming five years, Al-Jasser added.
