The Executive Office of Arab Media Ministers Council held a meeting of it's 7th session. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Arab Media Standing Committee Dr. Abdul Mohsen bin Farouq Elias. The meeting, in which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has participated, discussed the preparations for the meeting of the Council of Arab Information Ministers to be held tomorrow, on Wednesday with the participation of ministers and officials of media agencies in the Arab countries and Arab League Secretary General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. Arab information ministers council's executive bureau has formed a nine-member legal-technical fact-finding team, led by the Arab Republic of Egypt, to look into complaints to be filed by some Arab countries that they have been insulted by some Arab TVs. Fawzi Al-Ghuwail, Director of the Technical Secretariat of the bureau, an affiliate of the Arab League, said in a press release following the closing session of the executive bureau's meeting, that the Arab Information Standing Committee, which held a meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information for External Information Dr. Abdulmohsen bin Farooq Elias, the chairman of the committee, has forwarded the committee's proposed lineup to the Arab executive bureau for further approval. He said Arab countries who complain from some TV's coverage will have the chance to report to the newly-formed team. He added that tomorrow's meeting of the Arab Information ministers council will select the Arab Media capital and a new executive bureau, noting that plans to refute allegations by the Israeli media and spread a bright profile of the Arab legal issues will be of high priority in the coming period.
