The Najran Police arrested a man suspected of killing a Saudi national on Friday. The spokesman of the Najran Police, Capt. Abdullah Al-Ashawi, said that an investigation was being carried out by the investigation and criminal investigation teams. The family of the suspect was also cooperating with the police in the investigation. The victim, in his 30s, was found dead on a walkway beside the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Najran. An Asian mother has been arrested for allegedly giving an overdose of drugs to her two children and causing their death. The police spokesman in the Makkah region, Col. Ati bin Atiyah Al-Qurashi, said that the Jeddah police received a call from an Asian resident on June 10, informing them of his daughter and two grandchildren whom he had found unconscious in their room. Preliminary investigations established the death of the two children, but no signs of violence were detected. The mother, who had also taken a dose of the drug, was hospitalized in a state of severe fatigue and instability, Col. Al-Qurashi said. A search of the house found empty packets of psychiatric drugs. The father confirmed that his daughter was suffering from a mental illness after divorce from her husband, who is currently outside the Kingdom.
