The Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement today "Further to the two statements issued on 23-26/04/1438H regarding the raid on two dens operated by a terrorist cell in Jeddah (the first den was a residential apartment in Al-Naseem District where Hussam Saleh Samaran Al-Juhani was arrested; and the second den was a rest house in Al-Harazat District which was used as a shelter and a laboratory for the manufacture of explosive belts and devices and where two terrorists, namely Khalid Ghazi Hussein Al-Sarwani and Nadi Marzouq Khalaf Al-Madhyani Al-Anzi, blew themselves up during the raid); and further to the continued investigations carried out by the security authorities on the activity of this cell, the security authorities found that this terrorist cell was directly involved in other terrorist crimes. The following is the detailed important findings: First: It has been proven that this terrorist cell has a relation with the terrorist act which targeted the worshipers at the Prophet's Mosque on 29/09/1437H. The terrorist cell provided the suicide bomber, Nair Musallam Hammad Al-Nujaidi (Saudi national), with the explosive belt used in this crime. This suicide bomber blew himself up when the security men prevented him from entering the Prophet's Mosque. As a result, the suicide bomber died, four security men were martyred and five security men were injured. It has also been proven that this terrorist cell was involved in the terrorist act which took place in the parking lot of Dr. Sulaiman Fakih Hospital in Jeddah on 28/09/1437H. The terrorist cell provided the suicide bomber, Abdullah Qulzar Khan (Pakistani national), with the explosive belt. The suicide bomber blew himself up as the security men stopped him to check his identity. As a result, the suicide bomber died. Second: Investigations and technical examinations on the locations used by this cell in Al-Harazat District showed that the cell killed one of its members on suspicion that he was intending to surrender himself to the security authorities. As the cell feared to be exposed, it plotted to kill him and took the approval from the organization's command abroad, which ordered the cell to carry out the operation. The cell killed him by cutting his throat and kept his body in a house in Al-Harazat District. When the smell emitted from the body, the cell wrapped the body in a carpet and took it to the rest house in Al-Harazat District, where it was buried in one-meter-deep hole. The security men found the body and conducted genetic pattern examination, which showed that the body belongs to Muteae Salem Yaslam Al-Sayari (Saudi national, who was among the list of wanted persons announced on 21/4/1437H as he was an expert in manufacturing explosive belts). Third: Available information showed that two individuals have a relation with the cell's terrorist activities as they were tasked by Khalid Al-Sarwani to rent a rest house and a house in Al-Mahameed District in Jeddah City to be used by the cell's members as a shelter and a laboratory for manufacturing explosive belts before the cell moves to its locations in Al-Harazat District. The security authorities managed to identify and arrest those two individuals, namely Ibrahim Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani and Saeed Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani (Saudi nationals). Chemicals used in the manufacture of explosives were found in the two locations. Fourth: As many as 46 individuals has been arrested for their relation with the criminal activities of this cell, including 32 Saudis and 14 foreigners (Pakistani, Yemeni, Afghan, Egyptian, Jordanian and Sudanese). Investigations are ongoing to find out more about their roles." Muteae Salem Yaslam Al-Sayari, Saudi Ibrahim Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani, Saudi Saeed Saleh Saeed Al-Zahrani, Saudi
