The Interior Ministry has urged Saudi citizens travelling to Germany to be aware of Schengen visa rules, which stipulate that the traveler must begin the journey in the country that originally issued the visa. Some Saudis try to enter Germany using a Schengen visa issued for another country, a senior official of the ministry said referring to the difficulties they faced at Frankfurt airport because of their ignorance of these visa requirements. The official also urged travelers to Germany to be aware of the visa validity and conform to the purpose for which the visa was initially issued. The travelers must also declare cash above 10,000 euros at the entry points. The official also urged travelers to be cautious when making business deals with individuals in view of the increasing number of reported fraud cases.
